Job Description Assists the head coach in recruiting student-athletes, coaching, promoting and managing all phases of a Division I intercollegiate softball team in compliance with all NCAA, Conference USA, and institutional rules and regulations.

Division/Level NCAA I 
Responsibilities Essential Functions: Responsibilities include, assisting head coach in organizing and managing all phases of a division I Softball program but not limited to recruiting, team travel, strength and conditioning, student-athlete monitoring, match scheduling, budget management, public speaking, community involvement, summer camp instruction, etc. Organizing and managing all aspects of a Division I Women's Softball program Coaching student-athletes in preparation for competition and during competitions. Overseeing and participating in the entire student-athlete process while complying with all applicable NCAA, Conference USA and university rules and regulations. Develop competition schedule and coordinate match contracts. Assist in budget development and operate Women's Softball program within allocated budget. Oversee all aspects of summer camps and clinics. Maintain positive public relations with the El Paso community, donors, supporters, and media representatives.

Marginal/Incidental functions: Other related functions as assigned. 
Qualifications Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree and prior collegiate softball and-or NCAA Division I softball coaching experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree.
