This position will serve as the Head Men’s and Women’s Track teams and assume all duties of a head coach at the NCAA Division III level. This position will also manage the day-to-day operations of Caroline Gentile Health and Physical Education Complex to ensure it is operational and safe for our campus community and greater Presque Isle community members, taking a service excellence approach to customer service. This position will contribute to creating and maintaining equity within the athletics department. Essential Duties The responsibilities of the coach shall include, but not necessarily limited to, the following: *Recruit and retain student athletes, maintaining a healthy track roster with the ability to fulfill NCAA minimum requirements each year for each team. *Coordinate and supervise Track Home Meets. *Help coordinate with other departments and external contacts as needed. Vice President for Championships & Sports Governance | NJCAA
Charlotte, North Carolina, Position Purpose Under the guidance and direction of the President & CEO, the Vice President will oversee the recruitment and selection of host sites, execution and management of all NJCAA national championships, and work with regional and district championships as needed. Will lead a team of individuals and support the efforts of the Championship Events Committee to oversee all aspects of NJCAA championships. Will lead the efforts alongside the Sports Governance Committee for the successful maintenance and implementation of sport codes and sport rules, while serving as a member of the executive staff of the NJCAA national office. Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Championships: Oversee and lead all aspects of NJCAA national championships for the national association, including but not limited to: •Lead, oversee and manage personnel within the Championships Division for successful execution of all NJCAA championships and invitationals ensuring quality student-athlete experience and host management. •Recruit new and/or retain existing championship hosts through a comprehensive bid process including coordination with Sport Committee representatives, Championship & Events Committee and NJCAA Board of Regents. Murfreesboro, Tennessee, The position will oversee the football program’s overall video and audio needs. This position will have an emphasis on over-seeing the coaching video needs of the football program. This includes practice and game coverage, film breakdown, video exchange, film library, maintenance and replacement plans for associated software and hardware. This position will also assist with post-production video requests as necessary. This position requires working evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Other duties will include but not be limited to: provide coordination, supervision and execution of all athletic department's DV Sports software and LRS editing systems for Football, Men's and Women's Basketball as well as volleyball. Salary is commensurate with experience Assist the Wilmington College (WC) Intercollegiate Athletic Department to achieve the parallel goals of development of quality, competitive athletic teams; supporting the individual academic and personal goals of our student-athletes; the efficient management of personnel, budgetary, facility and equipment resources available to the college's athletic department Responsibilities Support coaches in the purchase, maintenance, and care of equipment. Assist with the scheduling for all Athletic Department facilities. Establish facilities policies and procedures. Working closely with the WC Physical Plant, oversee daily maintenance of athletics facilities. Oversee landscaping of athletics fields including scheduling mowing and trimming. Coordinate with the WC Physical Plant for the usage of tools and equipment. Maximize facility usage and program enhancements (ie. summer camps & programs). Provide guidance to athletic department staff in interpreting athletics facilities policies and procedures. Manage operations of all WC home intercollegiate athletic contests. Hire and direct student workers to prepare facilities for practice and home athletic contests. Serve as the football equipment manager on game days. Assist with athletic event logistics. Collaborate with WC Campus Events & Facilities Coordinator on contracts with external parties regarding usage of any WC athletics facilities. Analyze event market trends and sports facility utilization. Perform cost analysis if needed. Attend and participate on various campus committees. Participate in athletic department fundraising and development activities and functions. Participate in athletic department marketing and promotional activities and functions. Perform general office duties including copying, scanning, and filing. Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Athletics. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. At least three years of responsible related experience or equivalent. Strong organizational and personal skills. Ability to make independent, informed decisions in a demanding environment. Ability to communicate effectively across multiple, diverse constituencies. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
